INFORMATION FOR ARTISTS

THEME - “Becoming”

We are looking for artists, both LGBTQ artists and ally artists to create works of art for the Gather Conference 2024 Art Show. The work will follow the theme of “Becoming”. Becoming is about the journey that you have been on as an LGBTQ Individual (or ally), with an emphasis on your spiritual journey and how that has empowered you along the way to accept yourself (or a loved one) as an LGBTQ child of God. Spiritual emphasis: Growing with God, learning from Him who we are and what our potential is with the divine gifts He has given us as His LGBTQ children.

MEDIA - Painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, assemblage, photography (as long as it is artistic and follows the theme) and other media. If your work hangs on a wall please make sure it is ready to hang, we will reject any work that is not ready to hang. If your piece is a free-standing sculpture, has special display requirements (such as accommodations for heavy work), or needs electricity please work with Javicci (contact below) to work out the details.

ABOUT THE SHOW - This will be a juried show, meaning that specific entries will be pre-selected for display in the show.

SUBMISSIONS - After submitting an initial application (see the orange sign-up button on this page), artists will be able to submit information about their art (including a digital image of the art) by the deadline of August 3rd, 2024. Artists whose submissions are selected for display at the Gather Conference Art Show will be notified by email. In addition to being displayed in-person at the Gather Conference Art Show, selected art may also be displayed on the Gather Conference website www.gather-conference.com and social media accounts for Gather Conference and the Lift+Love Foundation.

SALES - Information about options for artists to sell their art, prints, etc will be provided soon.

THROUGH AUGUST 3RD - SUBMIT DIGITAL COPIES OF YOUR ART FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE JURORS

AUGUST 10TH - ARTISTS WHO HAVE BEEN SELECTED WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL

SEPTEMBER 13TH - ART MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE VENUE BY SEPT 13TH (FIRST FULL DAY OF GATHER CONFERENCE)

SEPTEMBER 13TH-14TH - GATHER CONFERENCE

SEPTEMBER 14TH - ART MUST BE PICKED UP NO LATER THAN 5PM, NO STORAGE AVAILABLE
