alisha anderson
co-host of the LGBTQ+ Women’s group
Alisha Anderson (she/her) was born in Northern California. She is an artist, whose art flows from the confluence of identity and earth. She has a B.F.A. from BYU, a Masters of Science from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico. Her art is research-based, and often place-based, with a focus on marginalized places and people.
Since coming out as gay, she's been turning that artistic lens to queerness as a way to process her own queer journey. She shared some of that artwork at the Gather Conference in 2024. She currently resides in Utah, is working on a project with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, and was recently the Visiting Artist in BYU’s Art Department.
